Bringing affordable, electric home heating and cooling to Las Cruces

Our city’s history is built right into our neighborhoods and homes. Here in Las Cruces, we know about building things that last, maintaining our rich traditions, and the importance of handing things down to our kids.

That’s why the City of Las Cruces is partnering with community organizations to support local families in fixing up their homes.

Summers are getting hotter and hotter. Last summer, Las Cruces experienced 35 days with temperatures over 100 degrees. The summer before that, it was 47 days of 100 degree-or-more-heat.

It is our goal to make sure homes are insulated and have modern temperature control systems, so families can stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter, and save money on their monthly utility bills. 

It’s not safe or healthy to live in that kind of heat for days on end. Even an evaporative cooler can only do so much when temperatures begin to boil.
